Crypta Romana

The Sibylline Books have been stolen from the Temple of Jupiter on the Capitoline Hill. Take on the role of a Roman investigator tracking down the books and the thief in this Call of Cthulhu adventure set in the sixth century BC. Each Player Character will act alone through email. Investigators might be a prefect of police, a priest (female option here, i.e.: Vestal acolyte, priestess of Minerva, etc.), or an officer of the legions: Someone who would have the authority and the experience to investigate a state crime. A Yahoo group site will be used to disseminated shared information and to follow the track of other investigators:

Hoping for some veteran CoC players interested in exploring a new setting. I'm a story teller rather than a rules lawyer. I love pictures -- they show me you've looked around and found something you like. I've been running CoC since forever. I've gamed online for a dozen years or more. I think I can offer you a good story. Hopefully one that will scare the bejeezus out of you, too.

Visit the group site and submit a character idea if you're interested.

Notes

The game is up and running now with two victims (er . . . Players) already investigating the crime. You can follow along here as each Character seeks to find out what is really going on.

And don't be afraid to make suggestions on how you would conduct your own investigation. That's what the game is all about.
